McCRUDDEN STRIKES LATE ON TO EARN 'STUTE A POINT

A Michael McCrudden goal late in the second half earned bottom of the table Institute a crucial point from this clash with Ballinamallard United.

Liam Martin got the Mallards off to the best possible start when, after just 30 seconds, he jinked his way past three defenders before slotting the ball past Martin Gallagher.

And it was almost 2-0 on 12 minutes after Mark Stafford came close from a Jason McCartney corner.

Institute came into the game more after the break with Robbie Hume testing Fergal Murphy with a 65th minute half-volley which the Mallards 'keeper tipped over.

Paul Kee's side levelled with ten minutes remaining after McCrudden poked the ball home to set up a grandstand finish.

The Mallards almost regained the advantage soon after when Ryan Campbell had the ball in the net but this was ruled out offside.
