JENKINS GRABS WINNER AS UNITED END WITH SIX IN A ROW
25th Apr 2015
Ballymena United ended the season with six wins in a row following this final day defeat of Dungannon Swifts at The Showgrounds.
The Sky Blues moved in front after 17 minutes through Allan Jenkins at the back post ater a David Cushley corner was flicked on by Tony Kane.
Dungannon might have levelled through Andy Mitchell after his header clipped the top of the United crossbar.
Then, just before the break, David Munster saw a header well turned away by Andy Coleman from another Cushley set piece.
Gary Liggett will feel he should have grabbed Dungannon's equaliser midway through the second half only to drag his effort narrowly wide of the target.
