FOUR GOALS SHARED AT MOURNEVIEW PARK

Warrenpoint Town picked up another point to move clear of the foot of the table following this visit to Mourneview Park.

Glenavon moved in front as early as the ninth minute when, in a well worked move, Eoin Bradley played Ciaran Caldwell clear to square the ball for Kevin Braniff to fire home into the empty net.

Braniff might have doubled Glenavon's lead soon after with a 20-yard effort while Bradley saw an attempt blocked by 'keeper Jonathan Parr.

At the other end Daniel Hughes might have levelled for 'Point only for his wind-assisted ball to come back off the woodwork.

After the break Warrenpoint might have levelled when Stephen Hughes put John McGuigan clear but his first touch let him down, allowing 'keeper James McGrath to save at his feet.

But, on 67 minutes, Barry Gray's side did equalise when, on the counter-attack, McGuigan found Conor McDonald who duly finished well.

They then moved in front on 78 minutes when a Stephen Hughes 30-yard effort came back off the post and then off the back of 'keeper McGrath before following over the line.

Glenavon levelled two minutes after that, however, when Shane McCabe fired a right-foot shot through a crowd of players.

Rhys Marshall might have snatched the points for Glenavon right at the end when he headed against the crossbar from a Mark Sykes cross.
