FIVE STAR BANNSIDERS GO GOAL CRAZY

The Bannsiders raced into a commanding lead at the break with four goals inside 16 devastating minutes.

Brad Lyons kicked the scoring off on 26 minutes after he followed up on a blocked Darren McCauley snapshot.

Then, three minutes later, Aaron Canning touched the ball over the line at the near post from Neill McCafferty's corner.

Lyons doubled his tally on 40 minutes with a header after being picked out by a well delivered McCauley cross.

And a couple of minutes after that McCafferty sent Warrenpoint 'keeper Jonathan Parr the wrong way from the spot after Matthew Snoddy had been bundled over in the area.

Although well in control, Coleraine pushed for more goals after the break. Lyons might have grabbed his hat-trick only to see an effort well saved before Ian Parkhill was thwarted only by the crossbar following strong volley.

Goal number five did arrive, however, on 77 minutes when Gary Browne finished neatly after Parkhill had played through the telling ball.
