'DINGO' HAT-TRICK PUTS TROUBLED 'STUTE TO THE SWORD

Institute's Premiership survival looks increasingly doubtful following this thumping at the hands of Warrenpoint Town.

'Point moved in front after 14 minutes after Mark Hughes had been upended by defender Stephen O'Donnell inside the area with Daniel Hughes stepping up to calmly convert from the spot.

And Barry Gray's side might have doubled their lead just before the half-hour mark when a botched O'Donnell clearance came back off Duwayne McManus before eventually falling for Stephen Hughes but he was unable to keep his effort on target.

But it was 2-0 four minutes from the break when Stephen Hughes rolled the ball inside the box for Daniel Hughes to flick up and fire into the top right corner.

'Dingo' put the game beyond doubt four minutes after the break with his second spot-kick of the afternoon after Aaron Walsh had brought down Stephen Hughes, being duly dismissed in the process.

Davitt Walsh pulled a goal back for 'Stute on 66 minutes with a close range header from Paddy McLaughlin's cross.

Darren Forsyth restored Warrenpoint's three goal cushion seven minutes later after he poked the ball over the line when his initial effort had been pushed onto the crossbar.

He then turned provider on 80 minutes when he played Stephen Hughes through to make no mistake one-on-one with 'keeper Corey Wilson.
