BURKE GRABS FIRST POINT IN SEVEN FOR 'STUTE

Relegated Institute picked up their first point in seven games with this point at Stangmore Park.

The sides traded half-chances during the opening exchanges with Paddy McLaughlin seeing an effort scrambled wide whilst, for the Swifts, Abby Sanusi snatched a shot, pulling it just the wrong side of the target.

But, on 22 minutes, Dungannon moved in front after Jamie Glackin delivered a corner which 'Stute 'keeper Corey Wilson punched into his own net.

Another Glackin ball almost lead to a second for Dungannon just before the break only for Gary Liggett to head wide.

However, Paul Kee's visitors were much the brighter in the second half with Robbie Hume and Michael McCrudden having chances early on.

Then, on 63 minutes, they got the equaliser they deserved through Cormac Burke when he kept his composure to send a lob over Andy Coleman.

Both sides had their openings as the second half wore to a close with Douglas Wilson in particular twice coming close but, in the end, a draw was the fair result.
