BOYCE WINNER MAKES IT THREE IN A ROW FOR UNITED

Ballymena United collected their third league win in a row with this defeat of Warrenpoint Town at The Showgrounds.

Warrenpoint started brightly with Daniel Hughes sending a header just wide after five minutes before creating another effort as did Darren King.

But the deadlock was broken after half-an-hour after Hughes beat the offside trap to calmly take the ball round 'keeper Tim Allen and into the net.

However, United levelled on 37 minutes through Matthew Tipton with a confident finish from Mark Surgenor's low cross from the right flank.

The Sky Blues might have gone in front just after the hour mark when Paddy McNally nodded against the crossbar from a Neal Gawley free-kick while Tipton could only send the rebound wide.

The winner came four minutes from time when, against the run of play, Darren Boyce headed past Johnny Parr from Tipton's cross.
